The Toy Network

Imma let you finish, but I might have had one of the best internships of all time.

I interned at Rhode Island Novelty, a primarily wholesale novelty toy company for 11 months as a Junior Copywriting Intern. A regular day for me was going in, making myself (and only myself) a coffee, going through a load of toys from our warehouse, play with them, and write descriptions for them.
Yeah, that was my actual job.
The Challenge: Target moms, teachers, doctors/dental offices with fun, quick descriptions and convince them to buy from our new consumer-based website, TheToyNetwork. I also learned that, at least at The Toy Network, size does matter. Size specifications were key.
The Curve-Ball: It can't be all fun and games, right? (Had to fit a pun in somewhere, #sorrynotsorry). Some of the products were a little odd looking... you'll see what I mean below. Side note: The first item I ever wrote for was a tablecloth. Make Tablecloth Copy Fun Again.
Here are a few of my favesies I wrote. (I might even be found in one).
